Stansted airport arrivals have been given a boost by the recent government announcement to increase passenger numbers from 25 million to 35 million based on a single runway. Controversial plans are also afoot for BAA to build a second runway increasing traffic to 70 million in 2030, making this one of the busiest in the UK. Upon arriving at Stansted Airport you will be required to take the Monorail to the passport arrivals area.
Please note the UK is not part of the Schengen Agreement so passage through the UK may be restricted without the correct Visa. Beyond Passport control is the Luggage collection area with 8 luggage carousels, please keep you eye on the Plasma display for your flight number. There is a MoneyCorp Bureau de Change available in the centre of the Hall. Once you pass through the customs area you will be in the arrivals Hall where there is a Costa Coffee lounge and a newspaper stand. From here there are the Stansted Car Hire companies located directly across from the exit and It is possible to get Rail and Coach travel tickets directly into London from the Kiosk.
